A soon as that word "Dinner party" is booked in my diary at my place it makes my mind go bonkers at the ideas, styles, food and details that I can do to wow my guests. But I have to nail it down to 1 idea/theme or 1 meal style or 1 colour palette, which always challenges me.
You have probably already picked up the theme here is dark, green and simple. Reason being - I only had an hour to wipe something up before my guests arrived. Usually I would plan it over a couple of evenings to get the right connection with the food and the mood. I paired this table setting with a fresh and simple 3 course dinner, that my guests loved and were satisfied with.
TIPS ON A DINNER PARTY
- Keep it simple
- Have a subtile theme through the setting and meals
- Make sure if your having more than one dish to connect them all together.
- Stick to 3 or more layers of textures and shades.
