HERBY GARLIC PRAWNS WITH SESAME CABBAGE

This is a fantastic recipe because it is quick and easy; you can whip it up in no time and the cabbage will last about 4 days refrigerated. Ideal for lunches at work; don't worry if you ate all the prawns the night of! You can just add some supermarket organic chicken or ham

Herby garlic prawns with sesame cabbage

Feeds 2 hungry people and 4 polite people 

 

Salad

1/4 red cabbage 

1/4 white cabbage 

1 handful coriander plus some for garnishing

3 carrots 

2 tbsp sesame oil 

1 fresh lime juice

 

Prawns 

1 packet frozen prawns or 400g fresh 

4 crushed garlic cloves 

Drizzle of olive oil on top once cooked

 

Thinly slice red cabbage, white cabbage, coriander & carrots into a big bowl. Squeeze fresh lime juice over and sesame oil and mix through with your hands. 

Prawns defrost prawns in room temperature water for 30 minutes then add to a pan on a medium heat. Crush garlic and add to the prawns cook for 5 minutes or till they are not transparent. Arrange cabbage salad on a plate with prawns over top garnish with some more coriander.
