ANGLES OF EVERYDAY LIFE: ALEXANDER AND FOX
This is a photo series for the amazing New Zealand designed Alexander and Fox; beautiful wardrobe staples. Inspiration came from an oringal image of mine that I took of myself in my office with my all time favourite "creative mess".
There is something so inspiring about the imperfections of life in and around the house. I created 5 areas around my recently renovated home for this shoot to represent angles of everyday life.
These images are to show that Alexander and Fox clothing can be worn at anytime of the day and no matter what job you are doing.
My mum always taught me that it is so important to dry everything especially your sheets out in the sun... but in the Auckland weather it proves to be a rather difficult task but when ever the sun decides to creep out from the clouds, I get those sheets washed and hung up and I book in with myself to lay out there too while they dry and get a good dose of vitamin D. A life lesson to take on board if you have not already "soaking up the sun (with sun protection on) and air drying the sheets".
This is clearly inspiration for those with adorable pets with full lives. A life lesson to start young "Making time for yourself and your pets".
Everyone has an office or desk set up at their home; if your like me then it will be filled up with an organised creative mess with mood boards for everything that inspires you from colours to packaging. The quote for this image comes from experience "inspiration everywhere with hunger procrastination",
Remember the Mario Testino photograph of the ultimate babe Kate Moss next to the fridge drinking her milk. This was my inspiration for this shot but with that classic fridge moment for every woman " I have just been food shopping...now what can I eat".
Which one of these images/settings has inspired you and how? What will you take away from reading about these creations? Comment below as your thoughts are my inspiration.
