7 SPRING/SUMMER TRENDS

7 SPRING/SUMMER TRENDS

Flat Mules

What more could you ask for in a shoe; dressy and total comfort. Who ever was the first to design these was a genius because flat mules can be worn in the work place or slide on in the weekend for a Sunday BBQ. They look amazing with any jeans (especially jagged edged jeans), trousers, wide leg pants, 3/4 length skirts or dresses.

Straight Leg & Raw Edged Denim

Wave goodbye to your skinny legs and welcome the 90s straight leg denim with a modern twist; the raw edge. This is a cool way to create more texture to your outfit without looking too rough with the rips all down the front of your legs. The thing to look out for when buying any denim is that the denim it self does not look too cheap... Stay away from the yellowy tones. This straight leg denim with raw edges will look stunning with a ballet flat, high or low mules or wedged sandals.

Pastel Pink

Pastel pink is creepy into fashion; girly girls dream. Every store you will go into at the moment will have a range of pastel pink items from jackets to small accessories. This can be a trend that you can invest in or start with a couple of cheap accessories to learn how to add pink into your clothing colour palette. It can be used as you would wear white for example I have paired with a dark green dress and black belt. Pink looks amazing with metallic colours and white textures too.

Versatile Shirt

If you are getting bored of wearing your classic shirt the same way then now is the time to get creative with it. This is a great trend in my eyes because you can use an item you all ready have in your wardrobe (if you do not have a shirt then go invest in a crisp white one to start your collection off). You can try these 3 ways of wearing it:

- Back to front

- Tie the sleeves around your back instead of putting your arms in to create a strapless look.

- Unbutton it more than you usually would then pull the shoulders down your arms to create an off the shoulder look.

Wallpaper Floral Prints

A trend worth investing in as these wallpaper floral prints are just stunning and realistically high end designers create the best and most timeless prints. There is such a range of wallpaper prints from bright to soft pastel tones throughout a wide selection of items. I am wearing this trend as a simple weekend look pairing it with a classic jean and tan shoes to tie in with the prints creamy tones.

Patterned Silk Scarf

Make those simplistic outfits memorable with a beautiful patterned silk scarf. For those that shy themselves away from investing in bold prints that you may regret in the following season. This is a trend for you to buy 2 of because it will most likely only cost you $40 max and is super versatile because you can wear it like the below:

- Tie around your neck girl scouts style.

- Use it as a sarong at the beach (if you buy a large size).

- Back to front so the corner is falling down the front.

- Tie it around the strap of your handbag.

- Use as a head wrap.

Lingerie Outerwear

A little Kendal Jenner inspiration right here all thanks to her amazing stylist Monica Rose. Lingerie Outerwear is a fresh new trend that is chic and effortless with out it coming across as sexy. All those beautiful lace bralette's that you have been wearing under your low V neck t-shirts with the lace just showing...simply change it up by wearing it overtop instead. You can wear this trend over a high neck basic tee or oversize shirt with a pair of shorts or jeans; show of your waist line and the texture in your bralette.
