STRICTLY NOTHING TACKY HENS PARTY
Welcome to a special hen’s party which was located at a family members house for my delightful sister.
To get my inspiration I called Charlotte (my sister) and ask a whole heap of random questions about her and what her favourite things are and she answered all of them (thank goodness) “why are you asking these questions?” Not telling… purely wanted to surprise her.
The inspiration grew from crystals (white only), flowers, silver, linen, Celine, Isabel marant, relaxed, black and white.
One rule from the bride to be “nothing tacky” so I put my thinking cap on with a stunning outcome and we play 5 different games.
For the low styled table we hired 2 trestle tables and put concrete blocks from Bunnings under them, which was cheap and easy. Draped a beautiful egg shell blue linen piece of material over, loaded up some comfortable cushions from Kmart around the table. Decorated the table with silver cutlery, white linen napkin, menu, name tag, hydrangeas in vases, tea lights and big crystals.
We hung up festoon lights to get more soft light across the courtyard and lit the candles when the sun went down, as we partied on into the night, with a easy to use UE Boom as our music source.
It was important to create a relaxed feeling, I got everyone to take their shoes off to sit down for lunch; which I think was new to everyone but they relaxed into it.
