THE VILLA RENOVATION STAGE ONE
When you write an entire blog post with effort and editing without saving it. What to do but to attempt to rewrite it...
I was sitting in this side of the house on the floor thinking about all the memories this house holds for many people; as it was built per 1914, roughly a hundred years ago. This just makes my experience with the villa very special and heart warming, which encourages me to make sure the house will have a mix of old and new styles throughout. A lot of people have told me it is really hard to mix old and new styles... wait till Tom and I will prove them wrong. I just believe that adding some key older styles back into the house will add loads of character and be timeless.
These two room will be divided into four rooms; one master bedroom, 1 full bathroom, 1 half bathroom and a walk in wardrobe (a dream of mine). This is to create a luxury feel with a very private master room.
We are re-pilling the house in a couple of weeks to level it out again so I will keep you in the loop about that. When we put a ball in the centre of a room... it just rolls to the lowest corner; obviously not ideal when renovating as you need everything to be straight for new fittings to be put into place.
I am not going to tell you about what we are doing design wise just yet because I am still finalising all the little details; detail is key remember. Look forward to filling you in on the next stage.
